The best media are chosen based on the ability to deliver the methods and activities effectively and efficiently. Various blends of media may be selected in introducing mind mapping and concept mapping, such as journals, video clips, software, and mobile devices. I was seeking the best media within acceptable costs, while meeting the learning intents. For example, EDGE Diagrammer, a diagramming tool, is available at http://www.pacestar.com/links/trial.htm. It will cost between $50 and $790, depending on features. Wise Mapping is a free web mind mapping tool that creates mind maps mixing new technologies. In this case, I chose the second one. Therefore, when selecting instructional media, I need to consider the learners' needs, resources, experience, and training goals.

I don't know if it will be helpful or not, but our institution has the smartdraw program whiich is great for flowcharts and diagraming. It is not free but if your institution has the rights you can utilize for free. It is very user friendly and makes great charts. In addition, it has some healthcare fact sheets and diagrams.
